Accompanying the compilation album of the same title, a video of Songs of the Civil War features various artists performing traditional songs from the Civil War era.
Released as a VHS tape from Sony, the video features Kate and Anna McGarrigle performing "Hard Times Come Again No More" and "Better Times Are Coming." While the McGarrigle sisters are credited, the video shows a whole gang of family members and friends singing together. This includes a teenage Rufus Wainwright - a treat for any fan!
